Darryl Lynch, 55, of Bridgeport, Conn., is the sixth city school employee nabbed this year in sex abuse of students.
He is accused of twice groping the girl over her clothing in his office at the High School of Graphic Communication Arts, where he’s been an ROTC teacher since 1997, sources said.
In another incident this month, Lynch touched the girl’s buttocks, a police source said. The girl told a guidance counselor, who told the principal, who in turn alerted cops, police sources said.
The teen and the teacher exchanged text and Facebook messages, sources said.
Lynch, who earns $100,049, was reassigned out of the school, a Department of Education spokeswoman said. He was charged with sex abuse and forcible touching, police said.
With the recent wave of arrests, city Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott ordered a review of all past investigations dating back to 2000.
He has promised to remove from the classroom anyone found to have had an inappropriate relationship with a student as soon as allegations come to light.
