Clay Aiken follows in footsteps of Gene Simmons by dissing Rihanna

Former American Idol contestant and current Celebrity Apprentice contestant, Clay Aiken, appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night and took a jab at Rihanna.

Aiken, who appeared on the Andy Cohen-hosted show alongside Jenna Jameson, dissed the Barbados-born singer during the show’s “Plead the Fifth” segment.

Cohen asked Aiken which pop star wouldn’t make it past the first couple rounds of American Idol’s audition process, and Aiken was at first tongue-tied.

"Oh God, there're too many. Too many...Current pop singer? I've stopped listening to them because they can't sing," he said before landing on Rihanna as his answer.

"Um...Rihanna has some pitch problems for sure. She does...Now I'm gonna get in trouble, too,” he quipped, E! Online reports.

Aiken isn’t the only one of the “Rude Boy” star’s fellow singers to take a jab at her talent.

The Huffington Post reports that KISS frontman Gene Simmons said “We're sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them. The guys you see [here] on stage are playing their instruments. No fake bull!!. Leave that to the Rihanna, Shmianna and anyone who ends their name with an 'A.”
