A man who pointed a gun at an officer was shot by Clayton County police Wednesday afternoon at Bonanza Church Road off Panhandle Road, according to Channel 2 Action News.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m., after several men who burglarizing a home ran from police when they arrived. An officer shot one of the suspects in the head, police said. Officers are still searching for other suspects.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting, Channel 2 reported.
