City officials are forced to take action after a man’s house because a public health hazard.
In Aurora, Illinois, 57 year old David Skeberdis is being fined over $13,000 after local authorities were forced to remove over 300 birds, junk, and waste from his home which had become a public health hazard.
More than 250 birds have already been safely collected and given to a local cage-bird club to be quartined for 30 to 60 days before being put up for adoption.
Skeberdis told local new affiliates that he plans to take the birds into his care again after he has made his home safe according to city regulations.
