Odessa Jones students told girl committed sucicide turns up aliveOne woman has plenty of life left to live no matter what anybody else has to say about it.

Odessa Jones, 33, of Baltimore, MD was believed dead after a family member sent an e-mail to her school, University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), reporting that Jones had committed suicide.

Upon learning of Jones’ “death” UMBC sent an e-mail to faculty and students reporting the sad news. The school was in for a surprise after Jones was found alive and well at her house when police went to confirm the reported suicide.

According to The Huffington Post, one of Jones’ family members made up the story and reported the death to UMBC and to Jones’ church.

“The family member apparently fooled Christ Congregational Church in Silver Spring as well. The church confirmed the planned funeral services for Jones when UMBC called to check — both initially and even after the school realized Jones was still alive.”

Jones is still deciding whether or not press charges against the family member
