A family feud turned deadly and shocked all when a boy refused to let anything come between him and his mother.
Saturday night in a rural community on the outskirts of Plant City, FL, Channing Thorpe, 17, shot and killed his own father Christopher Thorpe after walking in on the man beating and chocking wife and mother Jill Thorpe.
The shots fired killed Christopher on the spot and left Jill with a thigh wound.
Family members were dismayed, especially Christopher’s mother – Channing’s grandma – Evelyn Thorpe, who told Police One, “I had never, ever seen three people that were so close. All three of them did everything together. Everything. I just can’t understand it.”
Though police hold no records of any domestic violence within the Thorpe family or even past calls made to the property, neighbors claim Christopher was not an easy-going man and came off as abrasive and having a negative attitude towards women.
While police investigate the incident, Channing has yet to be arrested for the shooting
