Woman Arrested After Letting Her Husband’s Corpse Decompose On Home Floor FOR WEEKS

A Florida woman is under arrest after family members discovered her husband’ s body decomposing under a sheet in the couple’s mobile home.

Sheree Peters, 56, of Holmes City, Florida, has been charged with manslaughter and evidence-tampering in the death of her husband, James Peters, 62, after deceiving her step-daughters for weeks about their father’s whereabouts.

According to the NY Daily News, Peters told her step-daughters and neighbors that her husband was hunting, doing yard work, and in the hospital throughout the three weeks that he was missing.

Peters’ two step-daughters finally drove to the couple’s mobile home and confronted Peters, who grew nervous and left the home claiming she needed to buy gas. The step-daughters discovered their father’s body in the home decomposing under a sheet.
