Woman Owes $105,000 After Boyfriend Registered Car IN HER NAME – Left It In AIRPORT For THREE YEARS

Brandon Preveau Jennifer Fitzgerald boyfriend left car at airport for three years registered in girlfriend's name
A single mother found herself with a suspended license and a 6-figure debt.

Jennifer Fitzgerald, 31, of Chicago, IL, broke the city’s record for the largest amount of parking tickets, and largest amount of fines accumulated, after her ex-boyfriend, Brandon Preveau, abandoned his car in an airport parking lot.

Preveau purchased the 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo from her father for $600, but registered the vehicle in Fitzgerald’s unbeknownst to her. An O’Hara employee, her ex-boyfriend eventually abandoned the car in the lot and racked up a bill that amounted to $105,761.80, The Huffington Post reported.

Fitzgerald is now filing a lawsuit against the city of Chicago, claiming that she had no knowledge of the registration and that the city violated it’s own policy by failing to tow and impound the vehicle.
The case is set to go to court in the spring, 2013
