A sister falsely confessed to killing her nephew to protect her family.
Mayra Rosales, who falsely confessed to killing her sister’s 2-year-old son Eliseo in 2008, set the records straight saying her sister had beaten the boy to death.
Rosales, who once weighed in at 1,100 pounds said she accidentally rolled over on her nephew thus gaining the name “Half-Ton Killer.”
However, Rosales says her sister Jaime beat Eliseo because she was frustrated, and then left the house before realizing the injuries were fatal.
According to Daily Mail, Jaime begged Mayra to tell the authorities she was responsible for theinjuries. In a move she would come to bitterly regret, Mayra accepted.
Despite the tragic death of her nephew and the ordeal, Rosales plans to continue her dramaticweight-loss program and live her life to the fullest.
