This man would have objected when told to “speak now or forever hold your peace.”
But Andrew Marlin Curits, 30 of Salt lake City, won’t make it to his ex-girlfriend’s nuptials since he was arrested Thursday for stealing a truck to rush to her house in an attempt to change her mind about her new man, then, after she turned him down, proceeding to crashthe car causing $1000 in damages.
According to the police report, Curits was expecting a ride from a friend, but when that fell through he found a truck with the motor still running at a nearby construction site.
After causing a scene at the woman he used to date’s house – and being rejected – Curtis sped to the church where the wedding was to be held, but lost control and crashed the vehicle.
The Smoking Gun reported that Curtis later told police he had “never done anything like this” and then admitted he “had used methamphetamine the day before and had not slept or eaten since.”
Curtis was held in jail over the weekend on third-degree felony charges for unauthorized control of avehicle, and was released after making his $15,000 bail.
