A backyard swimming pool proves fatal for a two-year old.

A Pittsburgh grandmother who was babysitting her 2-year old son Blake Metzger, was distracted when her son, the boy’s uncle, had a seizure; in the moments it took for the woman to look after her son, the baby climbed into the pool and drowned.

The grandmother discovered the boy at the bottom of the pool, and tried to resuscitate him.

The boy was rushed to Canonsburg General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
