An Atlanta family is in shock and grief after a tragic incident in their own home.
A 2-year-old Fulton County boy was killed by the family’s pit bull Wednesday.
According to WBTV, the mother had stepped into the bathroom, leaving the child and dog alone, and came out after the attack.
Medical examiners say that the child died quickly.
Animal control has taken the pit bull, which had been in the family for eight years, into custody, and will run tests on it until a final decision on whether it should be euthanized is made.
