It is believed to have been a murder-suicide and there was no sign of a struggle.56-year old Philip Wood allegedly shot his 54-year old invalid wife Sheila and his mentally impaired daughter, Sophie,27, before turning the gun on himself in their rented Costa del Sol villa, unable to cope with his family’s health issues and financial troubles; the murder weapon was found beside his body.
According to The Mirror, it is believed that Wood left a suicide note in which the man apologized, saying he could no longer deal with his daughter’s disabilities.
The bodies were found by a landlord who came to collect the rent.
Autopsies will be performed on the three bodies.
