Parents have to bury their child instead of celebrating her graduation from 7th grade.13-year old Brooklynn Mohler of Las Vegas was killed when a friend, whose house Mohler was visiting, accidentally discharged a firearm whose bullet hit the seventh grader; she was transported to UMC Trauma Center where she later died of her injuries.
Mohler attended Schofield Middle School; the school provided grief counseling for any students needing it.
According to The Daily Mail, Mohler was scheduled to graduate seventh grade the day after she was shot.
Police regard the shooting to be an accident and do not expect to file charges.
