The driver did not realize he had hit anything, even though the mother struck the windshield.A 70-year old unlicensed driver in Panorama City California allegedly hit a woman and her baby, dragging the child in her car-shaped stroller for a quarter of a mile before he stopped his car.
The mother, who had hit the windshield and the front of the car, got up from the pavement and realized that her baby was missing.
Witnesses to the accident yelled at the man and chased him down to try and make him stop.
According to CBS News, the child was taken to the hospital where her condition was upgraded from critical to stable, and the mother was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
