In order to achieve a perfect butt, Apryl Michelle Brown, a 46-year old hair stylist and mother of two from LA, got injections from an unlicensed practitioner of what she thought was silicone but turned out to be bathroom sealant; the injections became so badly infected she was placed in an induced coma and awoke to find herself limbless and buttock-less.
According to Daily Mail, doctors did not know how to deal with her botched implants, and thought she would have to live with the unbearable pain.
She was in the induced coma for 2 months and has undergone 27 operations.
Since that time Brown has trained for and completed a triathalon.
