A child’s actions were absurdly criminalized.In Houston, a little girl, 10, was arrested, fingerprinted, and locked in a cell for four days because she was alleged to have raped a 4-year-old boy.
The girl’s mother has defended her, claiming that she is just a child who was playing, ignorant of inappropriateness.
According to the New York Post, “with no attorney, activist Quanell X, the head of the New Black Panther party in Houston, has stepped in to defend [the girl].”
Mr. X has argued that this was nothing but a case of horseplay taken too far and is a far cry from a crime.
If convicted, the 10-year-old would have to register as a sex offender.
