“There’s no turtle in there, just a hamburger,” the man insisted to airport security, “There’s nothing special to see inside.”A man named Li tried to smuggle pet toroise through airport security in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport by disguising it as a hamburger.
He placed the pet inside of a KFC burger and hid the package in his bag; screeners noticed that the x-rays looked a little odd.
According to The South China Morning Post News, when Li’s bag was checked and the tortoise discovered, Li confessed, saying he had wanted to travel with his “beloved” turtle.
Eventually Li was persuaded to leave the tortoise with a friend while he traveled.
