The Chinese government has claimed it will look into the case, but no one appears to expect a quick response.
Zhou Guogiang claims that authorities kicked his door down and physically removed his wife, Liu Xinwen to the Shandong Province Family Planning Commission where she was given abortion-inducing drugs to terminate her pregnancy which was 6 months along.
This was done in an effort to enforce China’s one-child per family policy, however it is also a crime in China to abort a fetus after six months.
The Mirror quoted the wife: ”They don’t have any humanity. They are not humans. …They must have children and parents too. But they don’t have any conscience. This is how China is.”
The couple has given graphic pictures to a news channel of the stillborn fetus which had been dumped into a bucket.
