A teacher accused of sex crimes cried in court as his family members testified in his behalf.
33-year old Bronson Shay Ward, a Cleburne County High School teacher in Heflin, Alabama who was arrested and charged with 5 counts of having sexual relations and engaging in deviant sexual intercourse with 5 separate students under the age of 19 has had his motion to reduce bond denied.
The Anniston Star reports that Calhoun County District Judge Debra Jones listened to a tape of Ward admitting to having sex with two of the girls before denying the motion.
In addition, the Prosecutor explained that he had asked his mother to contact one of the alleged victims after being ordered to have no contact with them.
Ward remains in jail.
