The woman’s daughter has used the incident as an excuse to eat only pizza and fruit.
As she made dinner for her family, Misty Moser, of Gladstone, Oregon, poured the contents of a half-used bag of frozen Kroger Value brand green beans out into a dish and found the head of a small snake inside.
At first she thought it was simply a large clump of green beans, but then she claims ”It started to kind of unfold. It was in a little ball and I noticed it had a mouth, and nostrils, and little tiny eyes. Not what I had thought I was buying.”
According to Malaysiandigest, whenMoser called the store to tell them what she had found, their reaction was less than helpful or concerned: Moser stated that the customer service representative belittled her concern, saying “That’s a snake in green beans. It’s not like a stick or a rock. It’s an animal. And she’s like, ‘Well, nobody was injured and nobody got sick from it so our hands are tied.’”
Eventually a public affairs representative apologized and the store and Kroger are investigating the incident.
