When neighbors saw the woman after the incident, she was cradling her daughter and screaming.
52-year old Adele Bing of Winter Haven, Florida was arrested after firing a gun which shot and killed Bing’s 25-year old daughter, Ruby, while the daughter was carrying her own4-month old baby.
Adele Bing claimed the shooting was an accident, that she armed herself after a fight with her boyfriend who had threatened her; she thought it was the boyfriend at the door because she heard banging and kicking at the door.
CBS News reports that the weapon discharged accidentally and the daughter was hit in the chest, but the baby was unharmed.
The woman, who has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, stated “How could I look at my grandkids in their face and say I killed their mother? Y’all can lock me away for good.”
