Schools Superintendent Jeff Young told reporters two girls – one a junior, the other a senior – got into an argument in a history class and one ended up pulling out a kitchen knife and stabbed the other in her shoulder.
Young said a teacher and other students broke up the fight.
Jasmine Genty, 19, was taken into custody, police said. She’s charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon on school grounds.
The victim was treated for what was described as “non life-threatening” injuries.
There’s no word yet on what sparked the argument.
Genty will be arraigned Tuesday or Wednesday in Cambridge District Court.
