Eight Tennessee high school kids are facing misdemeanor charges—over a food fight. Members of the group, which includes four juveniles and four adults, were charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct, sheriff Robert Bryan says, per the Lebanon Democrat. And "there are probably more charges to come," adds Bryan. “We are reviewing surveillance video." The charges were levied by school resource officers, the sheriff notes.

The officers heard that something was planned in the cafeteria on Friday, and they got control of the room within minutes, the sheriff says. Still, it was taco day, and apparently plenty of food was hurled: "It was like a war scene," a senior tells WSMV. Security at local high schools will now be boosted for the rest of the year, Bryan says. The kids are reportedly OK with the vandalism charges, but they're unhappy they've been barred from walking at graduation. "I think everything else we got is tolerable. You gotta do it. But walking the line, that's taking away something that's once in a lifetime," notes one.
