Let’s face it – not everyone who sings Christian music is actually a Christian. When money and fame are placed in front of some people. there’s an occasional sell-out. Why? Because of what money and fame can do. Please note that I am in no way saying that all Christian singers don’t profess Christianity as their religion, but there are some who don’t profess it, live it, and/or practice it.
In the latest news about a Christian singer not professing their Christian faith, singer Tim Lambesis (pictured) who is the lead singer of the San Diego based Christian metalcore band named As I Lay Dying, confessed that he’s an atheist.
According to several interviews with the Associated Press, Lambesis said he became an atheist in college while finishing his degree. So you may be asking “Why did he continue singing Christian songs?” The answer is simple – so that money can keep coming in. If he would have confessed being an atheist, sales would have dropped which undoubtedly would have affected his income.
