The mother of 18-year-old Michael Brown voiced her anger at a Missouri grand jury on Monday in a short video posted following the decision not to indict the police officer who killed her son, Talking Points Memo reported.“They still don’t care,” Lesley McSpadden can be seen saying in a short video posted online. “They ain’t never gon’ care.
The video was taken by St. Louis Alderman Antonio French shortly after it was revealed that a grand jury opted not to pursue charges against Ferguson, Missouri officer Darren Wilson, who shot Brown fatally on Aug. 9. McSpadden can be seen speaking to a group of reporters while being supported by an unidentified woman.
Earlier in the evening, McSpadden and her husband, Michael Brown Sr., had requested that protesters observe 4.5 minutes of silence, in recognition of the 4.5 hours police left their son’s body out in public after his death.
