BALTIMORE (AP) - The State attorney in Baltimore announced Friday there is probable cause to file charges in the death of Freddie Gray while he was in police custody.
All 6 officers are charged in Freddie Gray's police-custody death and one officer charged with 2nd-degree murder in Gray's death, state's attorney says.
She said his death was a homicide and that his arrest was illegal. A knife, not a switchblade was found clipped to Gray's pants pocket and was legal.
The state medical examiner's office said it has sent the autopsy report on Freddie Gray to prosecutors.
Officials made the announcement Monday morning. The report is now in the hands of State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby.
Spokesman Bruce Goldfarb says the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner will not release the report publicly while the case is under investigation.
