Colin Kroll, the former co-founder of social media sensation Vine and CEO of HQ Trivia, was found dead from what news reports quoting police sources claim was an apparent drug overdose.

The 34-year-old Kroll’s body was discovered by police after his girlfriend told them she could not reach him. The police and the girlfriend went to his SoHo apartment on Spring Street just after midnight and found Kroll in his bedroom.

HQ Trivia marketing director Andrew Watts tweeted Sunday: “What the f–k. I’m heartbroken. What.”

Kroll became HQ Trivia CEO in September after leaving Twitter, his exit marked by some cloudy allegations of improper conduct.
