An 18-year-old Michigan man is being charged with involuntary manslaughter after fatally shooting his girlfriend, Lyniah Bell, 19, who was a freshman at Michigan State University on a full scholarship majoring in journalism.
Lafayette Hodges turned himself in over the weekend after the fatal shooting and told authorities that the shooting wasn't intentional and he didn't believe the gun was loaded as the two play-fought with the weapon. Hodges even says that he put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger prior to turning the gun on Bell.
